Dr. Sarah Borisuk’s interest in chiropractic care was sparked while
playing rugby in college and experiencing all of the musculoskeletal
aches and pains that come with the sport. She explains, “After my
first chiropractic adjustment, I finally knew what I wanted to be
when I grew up”. Upon completion of high school, Dr. Borisuk
attended Miami University where she received her bachelor’s degree
and studied Zoology, exercise physiology and psychology. She then
went on to study the science, art and philosophy of Chiropractic at
New York Chiropractic College. During her course of study at NYCC,
Dr. Borisuk was especially interested in both rehabilitation and a
multitude of different adjusting techniques, including diversified,
activator methods, drop work and flexion distraction. She is also
Graston and Webster Technique certified, and continues to enjoy
learning. Before moving back home she spent some time treating in
Long Island, NY where she worked alongside neurologists,
Physician’s assistants, Physical therapists and other medical
professionals to treat patients with chronic and complex cases. She is
happy to be back in Northeastern Ohio, and she is excited to teach
patients the importance of functional movement, proper nutrition,
and how to increase their quality of life and strive for optimal
health.
